Hello! I am from Saginaw but made my way down to Ypsilanti to attend Eastern Michigan University. Starting in the fall I will be beginning my fourth year. I have a 4-year-old calico cat named Izzy who I rescued over a year ago and she has been the best first pet I could have asked for. In my free time outside of work, I enjoy reading romance novels, playing rocket league, and going camping with my family.

C&M first attracted me because of the flexibility, and size of the firm. I like challenges and being exposed to new and interesting topics and C&M offered the ability to experience that with how easy it was to dip into different things when the time was right.

I am almost a month into my Tax/CAS internship and I would say C&M is exactly what I excepted. I expected a close-knit community, amazing help from staff, and transparency when it came to feedback. If a mistake is made or something needs to be improved upon, it is not skipped over and ignored. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of interns to work with as well, it has been amazing making those connections and having others by your side that are experiencing some of the same things as you.

I was surprised by the in-person internship experiences that Joe set up for us. I did not know what to expect because I have never attended large in-person networking events before, but it was really fun! I was able to attend the selfie museum with a few of the other interns and we captured some awesome pictures and were able to connect with other interns in the Detroit area.

I am looking forward to the rest of the in-person internship experience and presenting our projects to staff towards the end of our internship!
